Uppa Tribal Village Medical Camp (1-3-15)


Constant work in loving service to others covers the seeds of past sinful and harmful actions, so that they die away and do not grow into a new round of misery - Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.  


With the blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, an Integrated Medical Camp was conducted at Uppa Tribal Village of Hukumpeta Mandalam, Visakhapatnam under the aegis of Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi, Visakhapatnam on 1st March,2015.


A day before this medical camp, the Youth Wing of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Visakhapatnam reached Uppa Tribal Village and made all arrangements for the Medical Camp. In the wee hours, the youth along with the Villagers did Nagarasankeerthana, purifying the sick driven village with name of the Lord. Later the medical team from Visakhapatnam City arrived and conducted medical camp.


In the medical camp, the medical team diagnosed 380 patients by carrying out General Checkup, ECG, X Ray, Gynic and Eye Check up along with various Laboratory tests for various symptoms in the well equipped mobile health van of Sri Sathya Seva Organisation, Visakhapatnam.


The medical team consist of Dr GVS Rao, Dr Sambasiva Rao, Dr Chaitanya, Dr Giri, Dr. Santhakumari, Dr Satyanarayana  and 6 Visakha Eye ophthalmology technical team. They were assisted by 2 nurses, 2 X Ray technicians, 2 lab technicians, 7  Para Medical Staff, along with 44 Sevadal and R A Naidu, District Mobile Health Services Cordinator .


17 Villagers who were identified for advanced treatment were brought to Visakhapatnam City along with the medical team. 3 Villagers were admitted in Gayatri Hospital while the other 14 Villagers were admitted in Visakha Eye Hospital for Cataract operation.
