Teachers orientation program at Kalyanadurg

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations, Anantapuramu in collaboration with SVGM Govt Degree College, Kalyandurg conducted a one day orientation program on Human Values and Balvikas for Teachers at Kalyandurg on 15-6-2014.

This orientation programme was conducted as a public awareness activity as part of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 90th birthday and SSSS Organisation’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

The programme started with lighting of the lamp at 11.00 AM, followed by prayer. The first talk was by Prof. Mudigonda Veerabhadraiah. He said teachers are leaders but not politicians and reminded that human values are there but we are recollecting them. He said “prema” or love is the first human value that should be preached and practiced. He said the time is ripe for the upliftment of spirituality and observed that a universal religion has started.

The second speaker was Sri. C.S. Balachandra, consultant and company secretary praised teachers as those who give direction and instruction to the students. He directly interacted with the teachers to see how they view the human values. He gave several examples of eminent Indian personalities and how they held the teachers in high esteem. He stressed the need of Balvikas training to the young students as they are the future citizens.

The third speaker was Sri Y. Ravichand. He lamented the rise in the number of students but decline in their values. Hence the need for value based education.

Smt Geetha Sukumar and her team of Balvikas gurus explained with examples and small stories how we can imbibe noble values in the minds of young students. She said the Balvikas programme is well established and available in three levels. The games she demonstrated to teach human values were well received by the participants. Feed back was collected from the participants. Sixty teachers participated in this orientation programme.

District office bearers, various subcommittee coordinators members and Dr. R. Ramachandra Murthy, Dr. R Venugopal Setty, Sri C. Rommel, , Sri. C Lingamaiah, participated actively in the meeting. The programme ended with harathi to Swamy.

Ten sevadal volunteers looked after the arrangements.
