      In Zone - V of Vizianagaram District,, there is an ancient temple by name 'Gumpeswara Swamy situated at the sangamam of Janjhavathi and Nagavali rivers said to have been installed by Balarama in Dwapara Yuga at Devuni Gumpa Village of Komarada Mandal. Every year, day after Maha Sivarathri, there will be a Jathara, devotees coming from most of the corners of the Srikakulam and Vizianagaram Districts and also from Odisha State in thousands and the devotees perform sacred bath at the sangamam and then they will have Darshan of Lord Shiva in Lingam shape.
      By the grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, every year the nearby   Sri Sathya Sai units used to distribute Pulihora and water to the devotees. But this year on the initiation of   the Zone-V Zonal Convener, Sri M.Srinivas and District  Joint Sevadal Coordinator Sri P. Nethaji Naidu, the service was taken-up by the entire Zone-V in a large scale and in an unique manner on 08.03.2016 (Tuesday) from 9 am to 4 pm. The entire programme was monitored by Sri M.Srinivas, Zonal Convener, Zone-V.
    The day was started with the lightening of divine lamp by Sri S.Papi Naidu, District Education Coordinator and garlanding to Swamy's photo by Sri M.Satya Rao, District Study Circles and Educare in charge. Then Nama sankirthana  was held and the devotees were addressed by Sri S.Papi Naidu, District Education Coordinator, Sri P.Nethaji naidu, District Joint Sevadal Coordinator, Sri M.Satya Rao, District Study Circles and Educare in charge and Sri J.S.Mohana Rao, a senior devotee from Salur and they talked on service and its significance and also on Swamy vari leela vybhava viseshalu. Simultaniously, the distribution of colour rice (Pulihora), water packets, and butter milk were taken-up by the sevadal members to around 10,000 devotees up to 3.30pm.
      The members of  Sri Sathya Sai Bhajana mandali, Dalaipeta have also involved in this pious service by  arranging a butter milk Chalivendram in their Village  on the road side  and distributed butter milk to the people going to Devuni Gumpa for Darshan from 10 am to 3pm. 
      Sri A.Chandra Sekhara Rao, District permanent structures in charge, Zonal Youth Coordinator Sri B.Gowri Shankar, Zonal balvikas in charge, Sri R.Chinna Rao, Parvatipuram Samithi Convener, Sri D.Lakshmana Rao and Paradi Samithi Convener,Sri B.Sairam were also participated. In this service activity and around 200 gents and mahila sevadal members rendered their heartfelt service. The programme was concluded with offering Divya Mangala Harathi to our beloved Swamy by Sri N.Uma mahewsara Rao, Convener, Sri Sathya Sai Bhajana mandali, Rajyalaxmi puram being the local Convener and who took responsibility.
