Matrusri Eswaramma Vardhanti Varotsavams (6-5-17)

The mother is man’s first preceptor (Guru).  She gives them the physical body.  Since ancient times, there have been noble mothers who have guided their children on the right path.  The devotees of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba from SAI fraternity, all over the world, has observed MAY 6th every year as ESWARAMMA DAY.  The significance of the day is that it is also celebrated as Children’s’ Day.

It is humble tribute to the life of Eswaramma, divine mother of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.  It enlightens a glory, great honour and splendor to mother Eswaramma and to mark the day, the physical ascent of the mother.

The ESWARAMBA VARDHANTI VAROTSAVAMS from 1-5-17 to 6-5-17 were observed throughout the globe as children’s day in general and for Balvikas students in particular.

With abundant grace and profound blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and commemorating the occasion, special rituals and bhajans were held in all Samithis and major Bhajan Mandalis in Vizianagaram District.  A week long celebrations from 1-5-17 to 6-5-17 were held throughout the District with utmost devotion and dedication coupled with spiritual, service and cultural activities.

During the said period, there were Omkarams, Suprabhatams, Nagar Sankeertans, Astothara Puja, Sahasra Namarchana, Tandularchana, Bala Vika Rallies for peace particularly on 1-5-17 simultaneously by many units, Balvikas Walk for values, Pallaki Seva, Bhajans, floral offerings to Mother Eswaramba, spiritual speeches by Balvikas children on divine mother Eswaramma, Veda puspanjali, particularly MATRU PUJA/PADA PUJA to parents. The various competitions on the syllabus of Gr.I & II, Quiz on Ramayan and Mahabharat were also conducted for Bala Vikas students by BV Gurus everywhere in all Samithis and Bhajan Mandalis.  The Bala Vikas students have also staged colorful cultural programs, musical dance programs, one-act-plays and Dramas in all Samithis and Bhajan Mandalis. 

Some Samithis, on this occasion, have organized SADHANA CAMPs and SEVA activities like EYE Camps, Distribution of Amrut Kalasams, new clothes and organized Narayana seva to poor people.  The Balvikas students of some units have rendered their services in cleaning the roads and sanitation work in the villages.

The evening sessions during these 6 days featured special programs in all the Samithis by Balvikas Children on the glory of the legend of mother ESWARAMBA.  The Balvikas students were given the opportunity to offer divine Mangala Harathi to mother Eswaramba and SWAMY.

All the winning students of Balvikas wing were awarded with prizes for participating in cultural activities and quiz competitions.  All the participants were also appreciated with a small gift as a token of love
