IMC at Uppa Tribal Village (5-4-15)


Through service rendered without any desire to placate one's ego, with only the well-being of others in view, it is possible to cleanse the consciousness and have the atma (true inner self that is divine) revealed -  Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.


With the Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Integrated Medical Camp was conducted at Uppa Tribal Village, Hukumpeta Mandal, Paderu, Visakhapatnam on 5th April,2015 under the aegis of Visakhapatnam City Samithi in association with Visakha Eye Hospital.


This medical camp began on a divine note by performing Pooja to the Almighty, followed by treatment to the villagers. This medical camp covered  10 villages diagnosing 650 patients. Various Laboratory tests along with TB, X Ray, Gynic, ECG, Eye and Dental Checkup were carried out with help of fully equipped Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Health Van.


Patients were given free medicines and some villagers were referred to Super Specialty Hospitals in Visakhapatnam City for advanced treatment, while 17 villagers who were affected with Cataract were taken to city along with medical team for performing operation in Visakha Eye Hospital along with 35 referral cases who were sent to Gayatri Hospital. One cardiac patient K Mohan Babu referred to Seven Hills Hospital. 


This medical was led by efficient doctors like Dr G V S Rao, Dr Sambasiva Rao, Dr.Giri, Dr Krishna Murthy (Gen), Dr Surya Prabha (Gynic) along with Medicine students from ANITS medical college 5 Paramedical, 7 Vishaka Eye Staff, 2 Nurses, 1 X Ray Technicians, 2 Lab Technicians, R A Naidu, District Mobile Health Cordinator and 29 Sevadal participated with utmost love and fervor.
