H H Governor Speech-5th National Convention of SS Schools

"Real Bharat lives in rural India and Sathya Sai seva organisation's initiative to take up educating the rural children and imparting human values will be of great benefit to the nation- His Excellency Shri ESN Narasimhan, Hon'ble Governor.

Real Bharat lives in rural India and Sathya Sai Seva organisation which has been imparting quality education should to take up educating the rural children and impart human values which will be of great benefit to the nation, said Sri Narasimhan while addressing the delegates at the valedictory of 5th National Convention of Sathya Sai Schools which was held at Mother Theresa Convention Centre, GITAM University premises, on Sunday.

Sri E.S.L.Narasimhan said that by coming over to the convention he is indeed blessed. Sri Narasimhan applauded the services of Sri Sathya Sai Organisations in the field of education and health. He quoted the ancient Dictums of Indian culture and the essence of Education, "Satyam vada-Dharmamchara", "Matrudevobhava, Pitrudevobhava, Acharyadevobhava ,Athidhidevobhava". He stressed the need for inculcating these values into education and lauded the efforts of Sri Sathya Sai schools which are imparting value integrated education. 

He suggested and wished if each student from the school influences 10 more students,   the society will be benefited at large. He recollected his experiences with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Sri Narasimhan wrote his impression in the big banner saying “Bhagawan bless us ever, ever and ever" and offered Harathi. Smt. Vimala Narasimhan also signed in the collective banner signed by the delegates along with Sri Narasimhan garu. Smt & Sri Narasimhan visited the exhibition put up by Sathya Sai school students and congratulated them for their talent.

Earlier in his welcome address, Sri Nimish Pandya, All India President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation spoke at length about various activities of the Sathya Sai Seva organisation and said that quality education is being imparted through 102 schools all over India to over 60,000 students through 2300 teachers all over India which have been blessed by Bhagawan.

Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation has over 3.5 lakh Balvikas students and 12 lakh sevadal.

Crores of rupees are spent on service activities by Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation in the field of providing free health care, education and water to crores of people. Sathya Sai schools are finding an answer for the crisis of character which is deteriorating in Indian Education System, He also promised to make the students future good citizens of India. Sri Nimish Pandya said that a decision has been taken to set up an International centre of value based education at Prasanthinilayam, soon.

Sri K.Chakravarthy, trustee, Sri Sathya Sai central trust appreciated the hard work and thank the organisers, teachers and students of SSSVV, Vizag for their hospitality. He added that the atmosphere has been vibrant which made the convention comfortable. He wanted the office bearers to get together and discuss about this value education to provide the best instruction from the value Centre to the schools.

Earlier, Sri Sathyajit, Director, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini spoke about Vidya Vahini.  Vidya Vahini program concentrates on the proactive needs of schools, teachers and students. It identifies the needs of schools and intervenes to support and bring out incremental changes. Extensive use of technology is also being used to impart quality education.

Trustees of Sri Sathya Sai central trust, RJ Ratnakar, K.Chakravarthy, SS Naganand, H.J.Dora, ex-Director General of Police, SG Chalam, state president, AP & Telangana extended a warm welcome to Sri Narasimhan and Smt Vimala Narasimhan. Sri Amit Garg, Commissioner of Police, Vizag was also present at the programme.

 Several ideas were presented by eminent speakers and principals of Sathya Sai schools across India. 

All the delegates took an oath to uphold the rich legacy advocated by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in imparting the human values based education to the budding children to students of higher learning.

A Sathya Sai School integrates secular education with spirituality, character development and the practice of human values in daily life, based on the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The characteristic features of Sathya Sai Schools which distinguish them from other schools are an environmental and culture of love conducive to the emergence of universal human values through curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
