Grama seva by international Sai youth.
By the Divine Blessings and Grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the International Sai youth, conducted grama seva in ten villages near Puttaparthi on July 17, 2016. The international Sai youth had earlier participated in the World Youth Festival.
The morning programme started at the Sri Ananjaneya Swamy temple, 17 kms from Mamillakunta cross towards Gorantla town. About 35 youth did Omkaram, veda chanting and sang bhajans and started off to grama seva at ten villages. The youth were divided into four batches i.e., A1, A2, B1, and B2 in view of enormity of the seva. Local Sai youth gave logistic support to the international youth.
A1 batch was coordinated by zone 4 in-charge Sri C R Rao , A2 batch was coordinated by Sri Ramasesha Reddy, B1 batch was coordinated by Sri Peddanna while B2 batch was coordinated by Sri Seetha Ramulu, Zone 3 sevadal in-charge. Swamy students Sri Saikrishna and Sri Srinivas coordinated all the youth.
In all the villages the youth & devotees from SSSO, Anantapur Dist. performed Sai Pallaki seva and grama sankirthan covering all the streets. The villagers welcomed the groups keeping the streets cleaned and the houses with rangolis in front. As grama sankirtha went on, the international youth distributed to each household (2,500 households in all) Swamy’s photo, Vibhuthi prasadam, laddu, pulihora and a saree & dhothi. This seva was performed in the following villages: Gunthapalli, Kotha palli, Buchhaiah palli, BP Thanda,Sai colony,Karavula palli, Mandala palli, Puttagundla palli, Khajapuram, Kali Thanda and Gaddam Thanda.
Sri. O Krishna Murthy, Zone -3 Incharge, Smt Vijayalakshmi P, Dist. Coordinator- Youth (Mahilas), Sri Kondameedi Rayudu, Dr. G.Dhanunjaya, Dist.Incharge, Archives, Balvikas gurus, about 250 international Sai youth and 250 local Sai youth, office bearers, members & devovtees from Roddam, Penukonda, Somande Palli,Kothacheruvu & Dharmavaram Samithis participated in the seva.
The entire programme was supervised by Sri C. Rommel garu, IFS (retd) and Dr.T.Ramanjappa garu, Dist President, SSSSO, Aanantapur.
