90 days nithya bhajans samapthi at Anantapur

As part of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 90th birthday celebrations the SSSS Samithi, Anantapur and SSSS Bhajan center, old town Anantapur, started 90 days deekskshalu in the Anantapur town. The morning sadhana started with omkaram, Om Sri Sairam nama japam, Jyothi dhyanam, suprabhatham and nagara sankirthana.

In the evening bhajans were held between from 6-00 p.m. to 7-00 p.m. at Sai devotees’ residences. Before bhajans. on Fridays, Lalitha sahasranama parayanam and on Saturdays Sri Vishnusaharanama parayanams were being held.

These activities started from 29th July 2015 at Sri Meda Saibaba Prasad’s residence and ended on 11th November 2015 at the residence of Sri Meda Subramanyam, both long time and second generation Swamy devotees. Prof. K. Anil Kumar, who is widely recognised as translator of Swamy’s discourses was invited to speak about Swamy on this occasion. He said he was initially apprehensive about coming to Anantapur, for the talk falls on Deepavali and hence poor audience turnout. He said he is over joyed to see the huge turnout of devotees, inspite of deepavali. Prof. Anil Kumar said Anantapur devotees are very fortunate to have close proximity to Avatar Himself.

He narrated how Swamy related Narakasura vadha to ending our own undesirable traits. Prof Anil Kumar stressed, every devotee should strive hard to take the Sai organisation to Swamy’s expectations.

Sri Meda Subramanyam honoured the Sai devotees with shawls who are rendering commendable service to the Sai Organisation. Later Mangala Harathi was offered to Swamy. Maha prasadam was offered to all the devotees.

Office bearers, sevadal and devotees in all 225 participated in this programme.
