Dist level planning and review meeting at Penukonda.

By the Divine Blessings and Grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the SSSS Samithi, Penukonda hosted the Dist level meeting on 17th May 2015 to discuss, review and plan various activities in Anantapur district especially in view of Swamy’s 90th Birthday and SSSSO’s golden jubilee celebrations. The venue was the samithi’s new bhajan mandir at Penukonda.

The programme started in the morning at 9.45 a.m. with omkaram and bhajan. The dist level meeting was presided by Dr. T. Ramanjappa Dist President, SSSSO, Anantapur. Sri C. Rommel, garu IFS (retd) and long serving Sai devotee was the chief guest. In his opening remarks Dr Ramanjappa spoke of the various ongoing activities in the district. He suggested the five sub committees conduct monthly meetings for effective implementation of activities relating to five subcommittees in the coming six months. He advised the need for following blue book and other circulars given to samithi conveners for planning the activities.

Sri C. Rommel, garu said the sevadal is blessed by Swamy for the service activites they undertake. He particulary appealed the sevadal to do seva from November 14th to 27th during Swamy’s 90th Birthday celebrations this year. Being Anantapur sevadal the responsibility is much more on the sevadal, he reminded, as close to hundred trains are bringing devotees to Prasanthinilayam, leaving alone the road and air transport.

Sri T.Madhusudhana Rao, state joint coordinator, Balvikas, spoke about the utmost importance of Balvikas in the organisation. He said Balvikas programme is modernised in view of the changing times and urged to maintain interaction between BV student, guru and parents.

Smt K Geetha Sukumar, Dist coordinator Education, spoke of School Balvikas and expressed willingness to hold BV gurus training at various centrers in the district.

Sri C.Viswanath Reddy, dist.coordinator, service wing (Gents), expressed satisfaction over the more than allotted number of sevadal turning up for April sevalu at Prasanthi Nilayam.

Smt M. Madhavilatha, dist. coordinator, spiritual wing reviewed the spiritual activities done in the district and listed activities to be taken up in the coming six months. Later Dr. R Venugopal Setty, dist. coordinator, study circles, spoke on the importance of practicing nine point code of conduct and likhitha japam of Sai namam.

Dr. R. Ramachandra Murthy, Dist.Coordinator, Educare and public activities subcommittee in-charge reviewed the activities carried out so far and planned two mega health camps as well as spiritual exhibition, sarva dharma sthupas, and public goodness sign boards.

Sri G. Haridas, Dist.Incharge, SSSNNSP and SRP, Dr. G. Dhanunjaya, Coordinator - Archives, Ananthapur dist, Sri N. Adi Narayana Reddy, Dist.Incharge, Prasanthi Nilayam Seva (Gents), also spoke of their respective activities in SSSSO.

Sri C.R.Rao, Dist.Incharge, COD & Zone -4 In charge, initially welcomed the gathering and also proposed vote of thanks.

The meeting concluded with harathi to Swamy.

20 sevadal volunteers rendered service during this dist meeting.
