Adoption of tribal village 'Balleru' by Zone-V (31-01-2016)

Engage yourselves in service activity. Consider social service as service to God. This is the best way to earn God's Love. Love all and serve all. Your entire life will be sanctified thereby -       Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

As per the directions from the District Organization, the Zone-V consisting of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Parvatipuram, Ravivalasa and Uddavolu have adopted a tribal village ‘BALLERU’ for spiritual development and extend the services to the poor people in the village.  To start with, the Zone-V has conducted a GRAMA SEVA program in the adopted village on 31-01-2016 from 10 am to 2.30 pm.  At the outset, Sri M Sreenivas, Zone-V Convener presided over the function, welcoming the devotees and villagers of ‘BALLERU’.  They were informed the motto and objective of the Organization for adopting such tribal village at remote place.  The program started with Omkaram and recitation of SAI GAYATRI and then started Nagara Sankirtana after which Nama Sankirtan was performed.

For providing medical facilities to the tribes, a FREE MEDICAL CAMP was conducted. Dr. P Sudheer Kumar, KGH, Visakhapatnam rendered his services and treated 40 patients.  Free medicines were given to them.

On this occasion, NARAYANA SEVA was done to 300 poor narayans at 1 pm.  5 Amruth Kalashams, 1 sari and 1 dhoti with towel were also distributed to the selected poor narayans initially.

Sri P Netaji Naidu, Dist Joint Sevadal Coordinator addressed the participants.  He spoke on the ‘importance of seva’.  Sri YRV Ganapati Rao, Dist Sadhana Camps/NSJY Coordinator delivered a talk on ‘PERSONAL SADHANA’.  Sri M Shanmukha Rao, State faculty for NNS delivered a spiritual speech and told the villagers and new devotees about SWAMY VARI VYBHAVAM and LEELALU.  Being a staunch devotee, Dr. P Sudheer Kumar also spoken about UNITY, INTIGRITY and BROTHERHOOD.

Mr. G Rama Krishna, Dist Grama seva i/c, Mr. B Gourishankar, Zone-V Youth i/c. Mr. R Chinna Rao, Zone-V Bala Vikas i/c, P Rajasekhar, Zone-IV Youth i/c, Samithi Conveners and Bhajan Mandali Conveners under Zone-V have attended the program including 149 devotees and 120 villagers have attended the function.  The program ended with offering Mangala Arati to Bhagawan by the Convener of Pedamarika BM near parvatipuram.  It was, at the end, planned by the respective office-bearers  to meet once or twice in a month in the adopted village and provide the necessary services to the needy tribes.
